Promus Barrie’s Ron Fox stands dwarfed by one of three giant pines that landed on this cottage roof in the Muskokas.

Major wind damage snapped century old pines, downed hydro and blocked roads in and around Muskoka leaving cottagers stranded and in need of disaster services across a 50 sq. mile area.
Promus Barrie crews spent three weeks, mostly in areas without hydro, walking from cottage to cottage to assess damage and secure and tarp rooftops. Trees were so large some homes required two cranes to lift them off the damaged structures.
